Freebox — Privacy Policy

Freebox (“we”, “the app”) helps you discover free local items and track resale potential.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in via Supabase Auth).
- Location (ZIP code): the ZIP code you enter during onboarding, used to
determine which area’s listings to show you and to schedule listing collection for that
area. We do not collect continuous or background location.
- App activity: items you save to your Vault, profit alerts you create,
and listings you claim.
- Subscription state: whether you hold an active subscription (via Google
Play Billing). We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
How we use it
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To show free listings near the ZIP you provide and to operate your watchlist, alerts, and claims.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
Listing data
Listings shown in the app are aggregated from publicly available third-party marketplaces.
We display item details (title, photo, approximate location, estimated value); we do not collect
or store personal data about the original posters beyond what is needed to show the listing.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) backend, protected by row-level security so
each user can access only their own records. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Your choices & data deletion
- Delete your account in-app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently
removes your account and all associated data (profile, saved items, alerts, claims,
subscription record).
- You may also request deletion via our
data deletion page or by emailing us at the address below.
Children
Freebox is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
